Commissioned by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, the National University Students Intelligent Car Race has been organized by the National Automation Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education since it started in October of 2005. It has gained approval from the Ministry of Education to be included in the National Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Funding Program and to be recognized as a Class A competition.
In recent years, the institute has attached great importance to the improvement of vocational training, encouraging teachers, engaged in relevant realms, to actively guide extracurricular science and technology activities and lead teams to participate in various discipline competitions. SCIT leaders and teachers involved took this competition seriously, working on it very hard and continuously improving the training level. The excellent results that the students have achieved fully demonstrate our institute’s explorations and innovations of the training models regarding extracurricular science and technology activities, and promote the institute’s disciplines construction according to the “Double First-Class” Gongga Plan, thus laying a solid foundation for the further development of it.
